Rhode Island is already rich with resources for tourists, and Superman: Vertical Thrills has great potential to become a singular attraction. The many historic structures, such as the world-renowned Newport Mansions, and the beautiful natural landscape and seashore, make the state a desirable tourist destination. The building is intended to function both as an experience park and also as a visitor center and connector for people coming to Rhode Island for tours, exhibitions, programs, and events.
Using the four corner towers for vertical activities, such as rock climbing and bungee jumping, the proposal revitalizes this significant historic landmark and brings new life and economic growth to Downtown Providence.
